Set up email - Outlook 98
  1. Open Outlook 98.
  2. Select the Tools menu.
  3. Choose Accounts.

  4. Choose Add.
  5. Select Mail.

  6. In the Display name box, type your name.
  7. Click the Next button.

  8. In the E-mail address box, type your e-mail address.
  9. Click Next.

  10. From the drop-down list, choose POP3.
  11. In the Incoming mail (POP or IMAP) server box, type pop.birch.net.
  12. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box, type smtp.birch.net.
  13. Click the Next button.

  14. Select Log on using: POP account name, Password.
  15. In the POP account name box, type your username (your email address).
  16. In the Password box, type your password.
  17. DO NOT check the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authorization(SPA)"
  18. Click Next.

  19. In the Internet mail account name box, type Birch.

    20. Click Next.

  20. If you have Birch DSL/T1 Internet Service select Connect using my local area network(LAN). If ytou have Birch Dial-up Internet Service select Connect using my phone line.
  21. Click the Next button.

  22. Click the Finish button to save the settings.
