The information below will help you reduce the amount of email stored on the Birch mail server. Just choose the email software you use and follow the instructions.

1. Open Outlook Express.
2. Click on the
Tools
menu.

3. Select Accounts from the menu to open the
Accounts
dialog box.
4. The Internet accounts window will appear.

5. Highlight the mail account and click PROPERTIES on the right side.
6. This will display the PROPERTIES window
7. Click on the Advanced tab.
7. Make sure there is NOT a check mark next to "Leave a copy of messages on the server."
8. Update is complete, emails will be deleted off of the server wne they are downloaded by Outlook Express.
1. Open Microsoft Outlook..
2. Click on the Tools menu.
3. In the drop down menu, click on Services or Accounts (depending on the version of Outlook you are using)
4 Highlight the Internet Account and click Properties.
5.This
will bring up the Outlook Properties window.
6. Click on the Advanced tab
7. Make sure that there is NOT a check next to "Leave a copy of messages on the server."

8. Update is complete, emails will be deleted off of the server wne they are downloaded by Outlook.
1. Open Netscape Communicator.
2. Click on the Edit in the menu at the top.

3. In the drop down menu, click on Preferences.

4 This will display the PREFERENCES window.
5.Click
on Mail & Newsgroups on the left side to expand the menu
6. Select Mail & Newsgroups from the expanded list.

7. On the right side of the screen you will see Incoming Mail servers.

8. Highlight the Birch account and click Edit.
9. This will display the Mail Server properties window.

10. Click on the tab that says Pop.
11. Make sure there is NOT a checkmark next to "Leave messages on server".

12. Update is complete, emails will be deleted off of the server wne they are downloaded by Netscape.
